Shout out to my twin brother for taking these pictures. Sarah went to New York for the weekend so I asked him to help a sistah out. He use to take my blog pictures way back in the day when I was blogging, back then bribery worked, haha. Our birthday is coming up in April, we plan on making a twin tag video, so YAY that should be fun! I like to think we are different but very similar at the same time, haha.
This week started off really productive for me. How you start your day is so crucial. Getting yourself in the right state of mind contributes to the type of day you are going to have. So with that being said, I’ve made it a conscious effort day by day to exude nothing but positive energy and to speak positivity into existence. Positive thoughts yield positive results. Here are some ways I create positive vibes for myself.
1 | Daily Affirmations are +positive self reminders+ One way that I practice this is by putting post it notes all over the place bombarding myself with positive messages. Their are also apps for phones that can do the same. Messages like “Where I am, is exactly where I need to be”…. “Gods timing is the best timing”… “You are enough” are some of my daily affirmations. Positive daily affirmations help you become more aware of your thoughts, so when NEGATIVE NANCIES come you are able to quickly and subconsciously think positive and be unbothered. *slight hair flip*
2 | Spending time with God Starting my day with some praise and worship and talking to God is always refreshing. Being able to take time out of your day whether in the car, getting out the shower, etc to simply say Thank you and acknowledge that presence is important.
3| Living in the Present There is so much power in being able to live in the present. A lot of times we are busy chasing goals that are projected to be achieved in the future, whether that be a week from now, 6 months from now, etc. Dream big. Set goals and plans for the future. But working hard today is always the first step towards realizing your dreams tomorrow. Don’t allow dreaming about tomorrow to replace living in today. Being able to take a step back and live through the good and bad helps you become contempt in your current situation 🙂
Can we talk about this lovely dress?! It’s my absolute favorite in my closet right now. I would shamelessly wear it everyday because it makes me feel OH SO GOOD. I got it during the ZARA winter end sale. I am super frugal and if their is one thing that gets my excited, is a good sale.
Do you guys have any daily self reminders that you tell yourself?
